John Kor is a successful artist, entrepreneur and business consultant. With more than 30 years of experience in all three areas, John has come to the conclusion that his worlds must come together – the art world, the business world and the Not-For-Profit sector.

“My three pillars of life!”, as he calls them.

He has achieved this success by establishing 18 independent businesses, helping other artists market their works, and supporting Non-Profit organizations through Social Enterprises and capacity building across the province of Ontario.

John’s accomplishments in visual arts include creations in the mediums of pen and ink, water colour, oil, acrylics, photography, computer generated designs, sculpting, and screen-printing.  Both private and public collections around the world house John’s artwork, including a unique ink and water colour series illustrating the mining industry in Northern Ontario.  Selections of John’s art are included in the collections of the late Princess Margaret and the late Kenneth Thompson. As a past owner/operator of a gallery and custom frame store, many opportunities presented themselves to help establish new young artists in the marketplace.  John continues to find ways to assist new artists and get their creations to market.

Since 1999, John has concentrated on supporting Non-Profit organizations with his company, Kor Strategies & Associates, by building Social Enterprises. Kor Strategies & Associates is a consulting firm that specializes in assisting non-profit organizations and businesses by providing organizations with innovative solutions, signature concepts and communication vehicles that deliver results and success.  John has established strategic alliances with associate consultants to maximize potential and enhance outcomes for his clients, and is fortunate to include as his business associates his life partner, Susan M. Wilson, and his friend and business associate, Nicole Kovacs.

John’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit have led to the founding of ILMC.ca, a for profit enterprise partnering with the non-profit sector to build capacity.
